Lamar graduated!!!! It's crazy to think that we have been in Hawaii almost 2 years. It has been probably the best time of my life so far. We have grown to rely on each other and grow closer together. It's sad that our time here is up, but we have learned what we needed to. So it's time to get all uncomfortable again and move....find new friends, new town, new school, and we'll be parents this time. We have met so many people that have become family here and it's sad to think we might not see some of them again. Lamar's parents came out again for graduation, it was fun to have some family here. We took lots of pics of the things we did with them, so i'll have to do another post!

Our past week

On Monday the 28th I went in for my last prenatal check up. I mentioned I had some spotting and so my doctor did an ultrasound to check the baby and to check my cervix. The baby was 3 pounds and the heart beat was strong. But my cervix was half the thickness it should have been. So my doctor had me go to the hospital the next day to get some tests done. They did a test to see if the baby could come within the next 2 weeks and it came back positive. So I got a fancy bracelet and was moved to a bigger, better room. I got hooked up the a machine to monitor the babies heart and my contractions. They wanted to give me steroid shots to help the babies lungs develop. They were given 24 hours apart so we stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. We were planning on flying home to Arizona after Lamar graduates next week but the health of me and the baby are way more important then the plans we already made. So our lives changed so fast in one day, everyone has been so understanding and helpful. It is comforting to know we are being taken care of and watched over. I don't think having my first baby on an airplane is a good idea, so I am glad to say our baby boy will be born in Hawaii. haha I love my doctor and the hospital so it is comforting to know what to expect. It's crazy to think we could be parents very soon, hopefully not too soon.. He needs to grow more before he is aloud to come! I will have weekly doctor appointments now and I will try to keep everyone updated! I look so cute in these pics haha thought everyone should enjoy them!

Were having a baby!!

I guess it's about time I posted about my pregnancy.. If you didn't already know I am having a baby! I will start at the very begining, I was waiting for my period to start cause I didn't want to think I was pregnant and be disapointed. So I waited about a week past when I was suppose to start... On morning I woke up way early, even before Lamar was up which is early, and I was brave enough to take the test. I just hated doing them because I always got negative. But I did it and waited awhile and when I looked at it I was so happy and shocked I almost didnt believe it. I never got really sick which was super lucky. I just woke up every night to pee and eat a little snack. The only time I got sick was when I brushed my teeth, which means I brushed them more then once. It took me forever to get my insurance so I didnt go to the doctor until I was in my second trimester. It was driving me crazy not knowing what was going on. That's why I waited a long time before telling a lot of people. I went in when I was 16 weeks and my doctor, who is awesome, did a sonogram and we found out that it was a boy!! We were so happy it's what I secretly wanted, but I would have been happy with a girl too. I am around 19 weeks now and I got pictures of the baby! Enjoy :)

Home for the Holidays

This year we stayed in hawaii for christmas and new years. It was nice to not worry about any thing and really enjoy the time off from work and school. Lamar's parents and three younger sisters came the week before christmas. It was their first time here so they were super excited. I had to work while they were here but there were a couple days I could do things with them. The saterday i was off we went to pearl harbor and the swap meet, then waikiki when were all very tired. One day we spent the whole day at the PCC and it rained the whole time but it was still fun. The night before they left we did a little christmas night where we read the story from the scriptures and put together stockings... it was fun to have company and to see some family. One the morning of christmas we woke up and it was so weird but we just started opening gifts from each other. Lamar did awesome picking out gifts for me with out me knowing what they were.. I was always with him for his gifts so i only had one secret gift for him, and he loved it! haha It was some cologne.... but we both got shoes, clothes, books, and the best one for me was a nice cannon camera! I am gonna be better at taking pictures now cause they look so much better! After opening all our gifts we went to the beach, it was awesome, we cooked hot dogs and played in the water. It was nice and sunny when we were there and it had been rainy the week before, so I was happy :) New years was crazy from 10-12 pm the neighbors bought sooo much fireworks it was crazy. We set some off and wanted to wait til later to do more, then it started raining like crazy so we just went to bed! (Somehow our chirstmas day pictures got deleted, but here some other ones)

The last couple of months have flown by... For halloween we went to a little ward party and we dressed up as nerds, last minute thing. The party wasn't super fun so we left and we went to our friends house and watched a movie. November flew by so fast, when thanksgiving came around we were lucky enough to have amazing friends that know what their doing in the kitchen. KC and sherry invited us to eat with them and KC's brother and his wife. The night before the big day the girls made 3 pies, apple, pumpkin and chocolate pudding. We had so much food and it was all so good, it made me realize that cooking isn't that hard. Me and Lamar made a turkey, so yucky and weird...but we put it in a pit the whole night before and the meat just feel off the bone and it was good. After we ate out feast I was so sleepy!! So we cleaned up and took some naps.. Then that night we went and saw unstoppable the movie, it was pretty good. And now it's already December, so i have to get to the store, we haven't gone christmas shopping yet! We put up a fake tree some of our friends left for us it fits perfect and helps get us in the christmas spirit. Its hard to feel the special love for the holidays when its like 80-70 degrees outside. Some of Lamar's family is coming on December 13-22 so it will be nice to have some company. Our apartment is so tiny so it will be a squeeze but it should be fine.
We had some crazy things happen right before thanksgiving and we got in a little fender bender and we have had some other little annoying things happen... It always seems to happen all at once and were thinking WHY?? but we figure something good always happens after all the bad and it's just to test us.. I am just glad we were prepared for the little problems. And we are so grateful for our close good friends that have taken us places and helped us out! We love our friends and the funny thing is their all from Arizona! But we are happy and excited for this christmas we get to spend together!

We have been so busy lately with work, school, and everything in between. But we still find some time to have fun!! It is kinda hard to find new fun things to do here just because everything has to do with water or eating...ha we love both of those things but we do get bored. But we have been going to new beaches and we even got to go to a UH football game and watched the blue angels. We still love being here, it has become our home. We have been here almost a year and a half and it seems way shorter!! We have great friends and the funny thing is half of them are from Arizona, so hopefully we will stay friends for a long time!! Lamar's Birthday and my family comes to hawaii!!

In the middle of August my parents and my oldest sister, and youngest brother come to visit! They were here for 6 days and we had lots of fun, I was really bad at taking pictures... my sister got a lot more. We went downtown, the swap meet, waimea, hukilua, PCC, and lots more!! The day they went to the culture center was lamars birthday, im usually really bad at surprises but this time i did good!! But I couldn't have done it with out my awesome neighbors!! Shelle and Miah made an amazing cake and Lamar loved it , and we did a potluck for dinner. Happy Birthday Lamar!
