We really wanted to send out christmas cards this year cause our lives feel more normal and we have Damon now so he makes things funner. So this year instead of mailing them i decided to put some pictures on here! I hope everyone can remember the true spirit of christmas and go out and serve someone else...Happy Hoildays!
Hawaiian Baby...... I can't believe how our lives have played out the last couple of months. We had all our plans to go home and start in a new place, have the baby on the mainland, and start new as a family. But I guess Heavenly Father had a different plan for us. Im not sure why we were suppose to stay here. It has been a little hard not working, changing the plane tickets, and working out the little details....but every little thing has worked when it seemed impossible. We have been blessed in ways that didn't seem to matter but they made a huge difference. We can't wait to get back to Arizona and to share Damon with family and friends. Being a parent is the best thing so far!! It is something I knew I always wanted to be and I have to pinch myself sometimes to realize that I have that now... We love this little man, enjoy these pictures :)
At my last doctors appointment we asked my doctor if he could induce me on the first, he said that he would need a good reason to induce me before 39 weeks. So he checked me and I was dilated to 3.5 and he moved things around to try and get things going. The reason we needed damon to come 2 days before I was 39 weeks was because Lamar had to go into this study to make some money. So of course we wanted Lamar to be there. Anyways after my appointment I we went and bought castor oil, boy that stuff is crazy. I took it when we got home and I spent alot of the rest of the day close to the bathroom. That night I was having contractions that were 4 mins apart. I wanted to wait til the morning before I called my dr, but in the morning the contractions were gone! I called my dr and he said to drink more oil and to call him when I got contractions again. The second time drinking the oil it took a longer time to get contractions but finally around 8 pm they started up again. I didnt tell anyone til 840 just to make sure. I called my dr and told him the contractions were 4 mins apart and he said to go to the hospital. We got there just before 10 and an hour later my dr came and broke my water....My contractions were starting to hurt way bad and I couldn't keep my body from shaking, I didnt sleep very good the night before and needed to so I got a epidural 30 mins after having my water broke. I fell asleep for awhile and around 3 am they checked to see how dilated I was, I was only a 5 so they gave me pitocin to help things along. I fell asleep again and right before 6 I could feel pressure, my nurse checked and she said that she could see that babys head. So I got some more medicine so I couldnt feel pressure anymore, and everyone else was getting everything ready. I started pushing a little after 6 and 45 mins later Damon was born! Lamar got to cut his cord, and after that he followed the baby every where...he loves him so much it's fun to watch them together. The timing was perfect cause Lamar got to stay one night with us then he had to leave the next morning at 10. Me and my mom left the hospital the same day, it's nice to be home in my bed. I hope this doesnt sound way crazy it is kinda hard to re tell. I will put up pictures too! I love being a mom :)
We did some fun things with Lamar's parents. This place Kualoa Ranch does these tours, cause lots of movies are filmed there. I put up a couple pictures from the tour. Lamar went golfing with his dad and some friends. We went to this japanese resturant after graduation, where they cook right in front of you too... Enjoy the pictures!
Lamar graduated!!!! It's crazy to think that we have been in Hawaii almost 2 years. It has been probably the best time of my life so far. We have grown to rely on each other and grow closer together. It's sad that our time here is up, but we have learned what we needed to. So it's time to get all uncomfortable again and move....find new friends, new town, new school, and we'll be parents this time. We have met so many people that have become family here and it's sad to think we might not see some of them again. Lamar's parents came out again for graduation, it was fun to have some family here. We took lots of pics of the things we did with them, so i'll have to do another post!
On Monday the 28th I went in for my last prenatal check up. I mentioned I had some spotting and so my doctor did an ultrasound to check the baby and to check my cervix. The baby was 3 pounds and the heart beat was strong. But my cervix was half the thickness it should have been. So my doctor had me go to the hospital the next day to get some tests done. They did a test to see if the baby could come within the next 2 weeks and it came back positive. So I got a fancy bracelet and was moved to a bigger, better room. I got hooked up the a machine to monitor the babies heart and my contractions. They wanted to give me steroid shots to help the babies lungs develop. They were given 24 hours apart so we stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. We were planning on flying home to Arizona after Lamar graduates next week but the health of me and the baby are way more important then the plans we already made. So our lives changed so fast in one day, everyone has been so understanding and helpful. It is comforting to know we are being taken care of and watched over. I don't think having my first baby on an airplane is a good idea, so I am glad to say our baby boy will be born in Hawaii. haha I love my doctor and the hospital so it is comforting to know what to expect. It's crazy to think we could be parents very soon, hopefully not too soon.. He needs to grow more before he is aloud to come! I will have weekly doctor appointments now and I will try to keep everyone updated! I look so cute in these pics haha thought everyone should enjoy them!
